| Illustrative Recent and Current Projects |
- Evaluating jail diversion: In recent years Q2 has worked with Family and Children’s Services, Inc. (Tulsa, OK) on several SAMHSA-funded federal grants. One project involved evaluation of an innovative jail diversion program for the mentally ill. Over a three-year period, Q2 tracked several thousand individuals with mental health problems who had come into contact with the Tulsa County criminal justice system.
- Evaluating a program for the homeless: Since 2004 Q2 has been evaluating the implementation of an Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) program for homeless adults in Tulsa County who have co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
- Evaluating a trauma treatment program: Q2 conducted an evaluation of a treatment program for trauma-exposed children. The evaluation was designed to probe whether children receiving Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy experience different outcomes than those receiving more conventional eclectic treatments.
- Evaluating a mental health screening program: In collaboration with the Mental Health Association in Tulsa, Q2 is evaluating the use of "Columbia Teen Screen" in Tulsa area schools. The screen is a measure of adolescent psychological risks. The study is evaluating the effectiveness of attempts to link troubled adolescents to mental health services.
- Consulting for data tracking in Juvenile Justice: Q2 is providing consultancy services to the Tulsa County Juvenile Bureau, helping the Bureau to develop in-house capacity to track more effectively its probation outcomes.
